Muster Us — Element 119

How the Muster Feed Works

Muster Us is a people-first social network. Its public feed — the Muster Feed — is a global town square where every member's posts are eligible. Here is exactly how it is ordered. No black boxes.

A global town square

The Muster Feed is the shared square of the whole community. Every member's posts are eligible to appear there. It is not a private echo chamber and it is not decided by an advertising engine.

Fair rotation: no one floods the square

At most 3 posts per person can appear in the Muster Feed at once. When someone posts a 4th, their oldest one rotates out — so everyone else gets room.

This is the fair-rotation rule. One loud voice cannot take over the square. Big accounts and new accounts follow the same rule.

Newest first

Posts are shown newest first. What you see is what people just said — not what an algorithm thinks will keep you scrolling.

No shadowbanning

Muster Us does not secretly hide people, posts, or accounts. If your post is in the feed, it is there because the rules above put it there — not because of a hidden penalty score.

No paid boosting — money can't buy a spot in the feed

There is no way to pay for a place among member posts in the Muster Feed. No boosted posts, no sponsored bumps, no one jumping the line with a wallet. Your reach is earned by showing up, not bought. We do sell advertising — clearly labeled Sponsored spaces in fixed slots, like billboards on the edge of the square. No ad can ever move, boost, or reorder a member's post.

What about the ads?

Ads on Muster Us are always labeled Sponsored and live in their own fixed spaces — the sidebar, the top of pages, and clearly marked slots. No ad can ever move, boost, or reorder a member's post.

The fair-rotation rule and newest-first order above apply to member posts, and no amount of money changes them. Advertising rents a clearly marked billboard on the edge of the square — it never gets to rearrange the square.

Tip jars: the money goes to creators, not to us

Fans can tip creators directly. Muster Us takes $0 — not a penny of tip money.

Creator monetization should go to the creator. The tip-jar promise is part of the mission, not a marketing line. How tipping works →

The mission

Muster Us exists to give people a fair town square where everyone is seen and heard. The feed rules above are how that mission shows up in the product.
